Description

ZED-F9P High Precision GNSS receiver module with USB, I2C, UART, SPI interfaces and GPS L1, L2, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou Operation antenna. L1/L2 or L1/L5 options. Base or Rover operation. Multi-band receiver delivers centimeter-level accuracy in seconds. Build-in EMI protection and LIS3MDL Magnetometer.

The ZED-F9P positioning module features the new u-blox F9 receiver platform, which provides multi-band GNSS to high volume industrial applications in a compact form factor. ZED-F9P is a multi-band GNSS module with integrated u-blox multi-band RTK technology for centimeter-level accuracy. The module enables precise navigation and automation of moving industrial machinery by means of a small, surface mounted module.

Two module options offered - with L1/L2 bands (ZED-F9P) and with L1/L5 bands (ZED-F9P-15B). L1/L5 option will work better in urban canyon and similar complex environment. Read our blog article L2 or L5? for more details. Please note, using L5 band require special configuration

The ZED-F9P module is designed for easy integration and low design-in costs with minimal e-BOM. It is well-suited for mass market adoption, thanks to its small package size, light weight, and small power consumption. ZED-F9P ensures the security of positioning and navigation information by using secure interfaces and advanced jamming and spoofing detection technologies.

ZED-F9P offers support for a range of correction services allowing each application to optimize performance according to the application’s individual need. ZED-F9P comes with built-in support for standard RTCM corrections, supporting centimeter-level navigation from local base stations or from virtual reference stations (VRS) in a Network RTK setup. The module can be upgraded to support future SSR-type correction services suitable for mass market penetration.

ZED F9P L5 GPS band
Am confused as this site mention that his module ZED F9P is able to handle GPS L1, L2 and L5 bands, as all documentation indicates that ZED F9P is only capable of GPS L1 and L2.
So what´s actually the real situation, is th ZED F9P really capable of L5 band or just L1 and L2?, is it a license/ firmware upgrade to make L5 enabled?
Am very interested in this module but something holds me back and that needs to be clearified first before i will proceed to purchase.
In case ZED F9P is not able to work with L1 L2 and L5 GPS i need to scout for another board.

These are two receivers with different hardware - ZEF F9P-05 supports L1/L2, and ZEF F9P-15 - L1/L5. The difference is hardware, it is in the SAW filters located inside the receiver.

One of the conditions when choosing a module was to ensure the security of positioning and navigation information, as well as low power consumption levels. This is a really cool module! We bought 50 pieces (as a test purchase). All 50 are in excellent quality. Delivery to Spain 7 days from the date of order. Very satisfied with the cooperation. Thank you.
