Patch antennas

Patch antennas are inexpensive, high-quality, but relatively heavy antennas used for automotive and stationary applications. When comparing similar characteristics, a spiral(helix) antenna will be lighter and more expensive than a patch antenna. Additionally, a patch antenna requires a groundplane, which can be also provided by a metal roof of a vehicle.

Patch L1 GPS

These are very affordable narrowband antennas that have few other advantages. They have a small ground plane, receive only GPS L1 signals, and with some difficulty Galileo E1 and Beidou B1C signals. The difficulty arises because the signal bandwidth for GPS L1 is 2 MHz, while the recommended bandwidth for E1 and B1C is 24 MHz. However, there is a benefit to the narrow bandwidth - such antennas perform better in proximity to powerful transmitters.

ELT0176 - enclosure-less, wideband (L1/L2/L5), dimensions 13.4*3.4*6 mm, gain - 28dB, adhesive mount, weight 2.2 grams, 4.5 cm cable, IPEX connector. The special feature of these antennas is that they have a surface acoustic wave SAW-filter placed before the amplifier, which provides better protection against out-of-band interference. This antenna can be placed near a GSM transmitter antenna.

Patch L1

These antennas receive signals from all frequencies in the L1 range, making them suitable for all single-frequency receivers. As mentioned earlier, they do require an external ground plane.

Patch L1/L2b

These antennas are designed for dual-frequency receivers that operate on L1/L2b. While an external ground plane is beneficial for these antennas, it is not strictly necessary. They receive signals from the following frequencies:

• L1/E1/B1C (1575.420 MHz)
• G1 (1598.062–1605.375 MHz)
• B1I (1561.098 MHz)
• E5b/B2b/B2I (1207.140 MHz)
• G3 (1202.025 MHz)
• L2 (1227.600 MHz)
• G2 (1242.937–1248.625 MHz)

ELT0012 - dimensions 82*60*22.5 mm, gain - 28dB, magnetic and screw mount, weight 173 grams (including cable), 5-meter cable, SMA connector.

ELT0153 - mushroom-shaped antenna, dimensions: 46*Ø66.5 mm, gain - 28dB, hole mount (the antenna's stem is inserted into an 18 mm hole and securely fixed with a nut), weight 150 grams (without cable), 5-meter cable, TNC-K connector on the antenna, SMA connector at the end of the cable, white. Does not receive G3 signal. This antenna has a highly reliable mounting design; the antenna itself is more likely to break than detach from its mount. Recommended for tractors, heavy machinery, agricultural and quarrying equipment.

ELT0157 - dimensions 63*63*25 mm, gain - 33dB, magnetic and double-sided tape mount, weight 220 gr, 5-meter cable, SMA connector.

ELT0158 - dimensions 100*68*24 mm, gain - 28dB, magnetic mount, double-sided tape, or screw mount, weight 235 gr, 5-meter cable, SMA connector.

Patch L1/L5a

These antennas are designed for dual-frequency receivers that operate on L1/L5a. While an external ground plane is beneficial for these antennas, it is not strictly necessary. They receive signals from the following frequencies:

• L1/E1/B1C (1575.420 MHz)
• G1 (1598.062–1605.375 MHz)
• B1I (1561.098 MHz)
• L5/E5a/B2a (1176.450 MHz)

ELT0140 - dimensions 82*60*22.5 mm, gain - 29dB, magnetic and screw mount, weight 164g (including cable), 5-meter cable, SMA connector.

Patch L1/L2/L5

Universal antennas are necessary when you plan to connect different receivers to the same antenna or when using all-band receivers, like UM98x. This antennas are suitable for any dual-band or all-band receiver. These antennas receive signals from all frequency ranges:

• L1/E1/B1C (1575.420 MHz)
• G1 (1598.062–1605.375 MHz)
• B1I (1561.098 MHz)
• L5/E5a/B2 (1176.450 MHz)
• E5b/B2b/B2I (1207.140 MHz)

• B3 (1286.530 MHz)

ELT0123 - stationary, dimensions Ø160*66.5 mm, gain - 38dB, screws onto a geodetic rod, weight 400 grams (without cable), 5-meter cable, TNC-K connector on the antenna, SMA connector at the end of the cable. This antenna can receive L-Band signals (used for transmitting satellite correction signals), including SPARTN. It is a basic geodetic-class antenna.

ELT0149 - enclosure-less, dimensions 56*56*14.8 mm, gain - 38dB, four-screw mount, weight 95 grams (including cable), 20 cm cable, IPEX connector.

ELT0193 - enclosure-less, dimensions Ø80*22.5 mm mm, gain - 38dB, four-screw mount, weight 102 grams (including cable), 10 cm cable, IPEX connector. This antenna can receive L-Band signals (used for transmitting satellite correction signals), including SPARTN. 

ELT0194 - stationary, dimensions Ø100*36.5 mm, gain - 38dB, screw/tape mount, weight 290 grams (without cable), 5-meter cable, TNC-K connector on the antenna, SMA connector at the end of the cable. This antenna can receive L-Band signals (used for transmitting satellite correction signals), including SPARTN.
