Overview
Its main and secondary antenna inputs can simultaneously track multiple frequencies of all GNSS systems, and the module can perform on-chip RTK positioning and dual-antenna heading calculations. With its advanced multi-band RF front-end, the UM982 ultraLight Smart Antennas set is capable of simultaneously tracking all four major GNSS constellations — GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and BeiDou — ensuring robust positioning, heading and centimeter-level accuracy when combined with correction data.
The built-in multi-frequency anti-jamming technology enhances RTK calculation on multiple modes and frequencies, which significantly improves RTK initialization time, measurement accuracy and reliability in complex environments such as city blocks and tree shades.
With its dual-antenna input, the UM982 can deliver compass-free yaw information to the controller (commonly referred to as GPS Heading or Moving Baseline Yaw). By using GPS as the yaw reference instead of a traditional compass, it eliminates errors caused by magnetic interference from vehicle motors, electrical systems, or external sources such as metallic structures and power lines. This ensures accurate yaw data for the controller and improves navigation reliability and performance, even in challenging environments.
